The Waterlily and the Desert

A waterlily walked through the time
crossed many planets but did never remain.
Here no water and there no ground
there no light and here no sound.

She did not notice earth‘s gravity
and this was the end of her liberty.
She woke up and nothing was wet
the desert had a so called dry effect.

But as she cried for help from everywhere
millions of quirky drops of water followed her.
This was the hour of world‘s oasis birth
there you‘ll never feel any thirst.

The Waterlily

Saint Ex wrote his LITTLE PRINCE after his experience with a desert. His plane crashed into a desert and he had been found half alive by a group of merchants after several days.
My waterlily ignored the laws of gravitation and lost her freedom. Alone and far away from home she cried for help and she got it.
A Nobel Laureate had been asked what he would think about the most important element in the Universe. His answer was „Water“.
